Vidyakansha
An initiative to bridge educational inequities
Vidyakansha means a desire to learn, which is naturally present in children from a very young age. But unfortunately, the opportunities to learn and grow get skewed based on the 'accident of birth'.
At Vidyakansha, we are trying to bridge these educational inequities prevalent in Rural India.

Who We Are?
We laid the foundation of Vidyakansha in June'20 when the pandemic was unravelling the many inequities that exist in our society. With just 10 volunteers and 5 kids belonging to a small village in Bihar, we started this endeavour to empower rural students using the power of education.
Currently, we are providing free, quality education, personality development, mental health and arts classes to over 700 children belonging to the remotest villages in the country.

Why this movement?
The Education Crisis needs our urgent attention!
Education has significant far-reaching impacts that go much beyond the financial security that is mostly associated with education. From better awareness of human rights to improved health of the overall family to even a better representation of certain communities among the decisionmakers, the right education and information has the power to change the future, not just of an individual but his/her entire community. This proves to be especially important for Rural India and the under-represented communities it harbors.
We at Vidyakansha strive to enable and empower rural India by transforming rural education.
