St. Mary Church is a Catholic church built in 1894 and located at 530 South Clinton Avenue in the South End neighborhood of Syracuse, New York.
Originally used as a private residence, the land on which the church is built was purchased by the Archbishop of Syracuse, the Most Rev. Michael J. Corrigan, in 1894. The land was given to the Diocese of Syracuse to build a church on it. In 1894, construction started on a wooden church with a brick nave, parochial school, and attached rectory. The only window in the church was placed right on the outside of the rectory, which, at that time, was described as "one of the most conspicuous sights in the vicinity of the city." By 1915, the school and rectory were demolished and a brick nave was added to the church.
In 1916, Archbishop Corrigan gave the church's seven bells to the city for use in the fire department's new St. Mary tower, which was completed that year.
Before its sale to the church, the house was known as the "Church House" and was located at 819 (later 490) Union St. It was located right next to the F.O.P. Hall. To this day, the "Church House" remains on the property.
Today, the church continues to serve as a parish of the Diocese of Syracuse. Though it hosts several annual parades and festivals, it is most known for its annual Flower Show, which is held each spring.
