The word Vidyakansha translates to “a desire to learn”, which we believe is especially strong in young children. However, due the lack of opportunities in rural areas, the children do not receive quality education and the desire fails to get harnessed.
The inequality and digital divide have been more visible to us all during the pandemic. We at Vidyakansha are attempting to bridge the gap and empower the rural children with the power of education through online classes. We started small in June,2020 with just 10 volunteers and 5 children in rural Bihar by providing a tablet and data cards to the children. Currently, we have expanded to 5 states with 210+ volunteers, impacting 700+ students in the remotest parts of India.

Be a Teacher – There is no better contribution than your time. Volunteer as a teacher at Vidyakansha and teach remotely through online classes. We believe in holistic learning as education is much more than the prescribed course and books. Hence, we take personality development classes, art classes and mental health workshops, along with the prescribed course material. You can take up any subject of your choice.
Become a Blog Writer- We believe that words are the most powerful tools to mankind. Our objective is to become a resource center of knowledge on education in India to spread awareness about the sector, which is not done on any platforms currently. Write for us and become a child rights champion. You can write opinion pieces, information on laws or anything worth talking about related to education.
Become an Expansion Strategist- You can help us with forming strategies to expand in the country so that we can touch more lives and fulfill our cause.
Become an Ambassador- You can use your voice to support our cause. Spread the word through social media channels, in your circles and groups and create a ripple effect. Awareness leads to action.
Become a Content Curator- Help us to build a curriculum that ensures holistic development of a child. You have the power to ensure that a student receives the best in class education that is possible, which is not just limited to academics but goes beyond, shaping the minds of a young generation.
